Getting here

The easiest way to reach Nerja is to fly to Malaga and then take a bus, taxi, or rental car.

Directions from Malaga airport

By car:

Exit the airport and pass the San Miguel brewery and keep left towards Malaga. You will end up on a motorway. Drive towards Motril and Almeria and take the second exit onto a new motorway east ut of Malaga towards Almeria. After about 30 minutes you pass Velez-Malaga and Nerja will show up on the signs. Take the Nerja exit and go straight through two roundabouts before taking a left turn in the third roundabout. Cross a bridge and pass the bus station.

To Hostal San Miguel

Find somewhere to park, for example in the parking lot to the left of the next roundabout, or at some small street nearby. Walk across the roundabout and turn right onto Calle San Miguel with the Cantarero park to your left and the hotel just after the park. The beautiful city centre is just another few minutes walk away with restaurants, shops, cafes and the like.

To Apartamentos San Miguel

Continue through the roundabout after the bus station.
Pass the BP-station and the policy station and take left in the next roundabout. Then you are in C/Calera de Gomez and our apartments are in number up on your right.

By bus:

If you take the bus from the airport, go straight on after exiting the building to catch the Malaga bus, called A. The bus costs about €2.00 and we recommend that you have some coins as the driver won't always be able to give you change.

Once in Malaga go into the station building to the Alsina Graells ticket window and buy your ticket to Nerja. It costs about €4 and the bus leaves from bus stop 38. You can find the timetable for the bus at http://www.alsa.es. A direct bus using the motorway takes about 1 hour whereas the regular takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Nerja the hotel is just around the corner from the bus station, see the map below. You always check in at the hotel first even if you stay in the apartments.
