The caves of Nerja

A local world-class attraction

Only three kilometers from Nerja lies the biggest cave system in Europe. The cave system is very impressive, stretching for almost 5 km. They were not discovered until 1959 when some local boys stumbled across the entrance. Now a scene has been create in one of the bigger caves and a culture and music festival is held there yearly.
